Red Maple (Acer Rubrum) bass cab

I'm putting together a 210 cabinet using 4/4 soft maple. It seems like a good fit, soft maple is light in comparison to other hardwoods and plywoods. Its also FSC certified from a woodlot right here in western NY State. Markbass uses Italian Poplar, which I believe is the same Tulip Poplar that grows here. A nice sturdy hardwood, but plentiful and inexpensive.

If anyone has any diagrams for a 210, send them along!

Do not build a cab from solid hardwood. Hardwood plywood is OK, though I wouldn't use maple, too heavy.

check out the cab designs from the eminence website. I think the BP102's have some 2x10 designs.
