refinishing flea bass

Hi, this will be my first refinish job and i was hoping some of you guys could help me out. I want to refinish a Modulus Flea bass because the black gloss just doesn't do it for me. I was thinking about completely stripping the body and starting from scratch. I was looking at using reranch aerosol unless there are some better ideas provided. My main concern is that this is essentially my only bass (i have a very old, very...not good off brand) and i would like a timeline in terms of when i can expect this to be finished.

So, considering that i will work on it whenever it needs work, how long will it take me to finish this? Including drying times, sanding etc...

Also, any sort of paint suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Devin

Primers and base coats dry quickly. Its the Nitro clear that takes two weeks to fully cure, which is when you'd perform the usual blocking and buffing. Sanding it before its cured completely can be disastrous.

Side note= IMC Nitro is dry to the touch the next day and can be lightly handled, and the next day is also the best time to nibble off any drips that may have occured(no sanding though)
