Refreshing an Old Friend (MIM P-Bass rebuild/refinish)

DSCN0939.jpg

Better shot... I love how this thing sounds/plays.

Spent a little extra time today and did some swapping. I got a Bill Lawrence P-46 for my 2010 USA P-bass, so I took the SPB-2 that I had put in there out, and put it in this bass, removing the EMGs. The EMGs were neat, but I've had them for years and years. Add to that the fact that the bass sits most of the time (not my main), so I didn't want to deal with batteries.

Anyway, here's a shot after the pickup swap and with the bridge cover on. The only thing that bums me out is you can see where my wrist band started to color the bass red. I'll probably have to sand that out.

If anyone is interested in the EMGs, they'll be up in the classifieds shortly.
