Regenerate Guitar Works Basses Opinion

I recently(3 months ago) purchased a Regenerate Guitar works bass off of eBay. Its a 5 string with a AAA grade ambinoya burl top and its the new crown of my collection. I was wondering what people thought of the brand and there basses. Oh and the bass is the one in my profile picture. I'll post better pics later tonight.

To start, keep in mind that I consider Rod a friend, so I may have a little bias.
I've played quite a few of Rod's basses. He has been coming to my Emerald City Bass Convention for as long as I've been hosting it. Every bass of his that I've touched, even ones that were not yet completed, have looked great and had a nice, high attention to detail. I think things are really coming together lately with his own Honey Badger pickups, too. A Regenerate loaded with HB pickups is a very, very sweet combination -- I'll be picking up my own bass from him in a couple of months.

Rod himself is a fantastic person to be around. I love going up to his shop, hanging out, and seeing what he's cooking up. And, he's always up for a great pun :)

congrats Moopahtroopa!

that bass was one of our NAMM basses (I forget the year right this moment) and received a lot of attention during the show. the top is the nicest Amboyna set I've had thru the shop - nice dark red color with significant burl figure. it's also one of the few (Gaboon) Ebony fretboards we've done, and is its natural color (no dye to darken it up) IIRC the neck has significant flame to it
