That's part of our standard R&D process - each new neck design has to be able to stand up to the (240 pound) fat man and still be playable on a proofing instrument we gig. This is just one of several test that helps assure us that our neck designs can exceed the typical abuse a customer is going to put it thru. We definitely do not recommend you treat your bass with such little respect
IIRC the neck in that image was a 1-piece Maple neck with Maple fingerboard, and utilized only a dual-action trussrod (left loose at that) with no carbon fiber stiffening. I did a couple bounces on that neck before passing the design as being ready for field testing.
