Regular Passive Tone Control or Fender TBX Control? . . . And . . .

I just recently learned about the Fender TBX tone control. Does anyone have any experience with it and how does it compare to a regular tone control?

Also, this a video demo of the Fender TBX tone control, and about 2/3rds the way through he mentions a special mod or upgrade to the TBX.



Does anyone know what he is talking about? Something about changing out a cap or adding a cap, or resistor perhaps?
