The band I'm currently in uses Rehearsal rooms that include all the Amps/PA. So far 2 out of 3 times I've had an Amp and cab that I've had to fiddle with the whole night to get a ok sound. The amps they are providing are GK800RB and some homemade looking 8x10 stack. Is it worth my time and effort to bring down my Markbass CMD102P (350 watts 2x10 combo) and use a line out to the PA? instead of using there equipment?

i dont really get this either...
i've got stuck with junky backlines and been annoyed at the sound all night before plenty of times. it all depends on whats going on during your rehearsals-
are you jamming? comming up with ideas? just rocking out? then you might want to bring your own stuff, to get your sound.
if you already have arrangements that need some fine tuning, or already have material you just need to run and keep fresh before gigs, then who cares how crappy the rig is, just as long as you can hear what your playing.

Unless I go DI and just let the Sound Guy do his job, for rehearsals I prefer to have my own stuff just plug and play. If this is a rehearsal room where different groups play different nights so you always come back to different settings thus always fighting to get the right sound, here's my advice:
Take a picture or write down your settings once you find them one practice. Then you just refer to it first thing when you get to practice. Takes less than a minute and you're not fiddling or hauling extra gear. Pretty close to plug and play.

how loud do you need it in the rehearsal studio that a Markbass CMD102P doesnt work by itself? needless volumes for a practice sounds like. I use my GK MB210 for practice, without PA support and yeah i prefer to use my gear over rental gear cause I know my own settings.
Great answers...I think I like the Plug and play idea, my combo is not heavy just mainly worry about power to fill a fairly large rehearsal room. To answer mcapote, I've never taken my combo to a large rehearsal room, just really small rooms.
