So, I have an old Mesa Boogie Diesel 2x10 that I've decided to refurbish. I removed the black vinyl leatherette but, the cloth backing from the original covering did not come up with it. I've looked around on TB and nothing directly addressing that and I can't seem to find anything on youtube on that specific topic. I'm thinking I can probably just sand it with an orbital sander. But, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has faced this and how they handled it.

No experience with that unit, but I've done others. Belt sander using thick grit paper has worked for me.

Does 60 grit sound about right? What about areas where the belt sander cannot reach or around rounded corners?
