I have an '81 G&L L1000 and the trussrod is turned tight all the way. I would like to be able to adjust it more and want to know if it's possible to back up the rod somehow. It will loosen but will not tighten any farther. Thanks for any help!
Is there relief in the neck? If the neck is dead flat and level, then you should loosen the TR to provide some relief. If there's too much relief (bow) then you've got a problem. Don't know what you mean by "back up" the TR.
