Replace Demeter with DI?

I currently have a demeter hbp1J. I love it but I'm thinking about simplifying my rig down to just my pedal board since I just run in ear monitors and no amp on stage. Do you think something like the aguilar tone hammer would give me what I'm looking for?

I don't use the parametric section of the demeter but I need a really reliable DI.

If you don't need any EQ, just get a Radial or a Countryman. They set they standard for really reliable DIs.

I was hoping to have some moderate eq section. I just don' t need a parametric.

I like my Countryman type 85, but when I need EQ in my DI, I use the ParaDI by Tech21.

A high impedance DI with semi-parametric EQ (variable mid-band) is pretty invaluable, as it allows entirely types of applications: Upright vs. Electric, Magnetic vs. Piezo, and guitar, fiddle, dobro, etc.

There is also a nice Radial model with Hi and Lo-pass filters and variable impedance.

I use a Tone Hammer for studio work and really like it a lot. Super clean output and a lot of tone control. If you're going pedalboard, I see no reason why that wouldn't work. The only issue with using the Tone Hammer live is if you are switching between "Engaged" mode and "AGS" mode, you get a big volume increase since there is only one master level control for both channels.

There are many other options out there though, like the above mentioned SansAmp Paradriver, VT Bass, etc.
