Replacement Body

I am planning a new build and looking for a finished body (preferably P-Bass) that has a 2 7/16" neck pocket width as apposed to the 2 1/2" that I frequently see. The neck I have has a 2 7/16" heel. I am not interested in the Guitar Fetish bodies due to the characteristics of the wood they use (paulownia wood). I hear that it dents very easily and screws have a tendancy to strip out due to the softness of the wood. If you know of a body supplier that offers an alder or ash body with a 2 7/16" neck pocket I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks in advance...

I used a couple of Mighty Mite ash bodies and I love them. The finishes were beautiful. The neck pockets were tight, but I'm not certain of the dimensions. I needed to do some slight sanding of the pocket to fit the necks properly, but it's no big deal.

All in all, they are excellent bargains considering the quality.

I checked with Mighty Mite and they advertise that their pocket is 2 1/2" wide. I had this 2 7/16" neck in a MIA P-Bass body and that has a 2 1/2" pocket. You could stick a guitar pick in the gap on each side of the pocket. I'm hoping for something a bit tighter. In this case sanding would be a good thing. Thanks.
