So I blew my aguilar gs 112 months ago and haven't gotten around to getting it fixed... I wasn't in love with it in the first place, but wish it was lighter, so I would like to drop a neo speaker in it to drop the weight down. (would love to spend less than 100 on the driver but could go up to 150). Has anyone else out there popped a different driver into one of these cabs?
Any recommendations would be awesome - I've read good things about eminence, particularly the Eminence Deltalite II 2512... but as I said I know nothing and don't even really know where to get started with this.
Background info - this is a 2nd cab that would be used along with an aguilar gs115, or possibly on its own for really small venues - currently using an older 300w eden traveler (wt300), but I'm pretty sure I'm going to trade that for a yorkville xs800h for some extra wattage as the traveler isn't quite cutting it (also, I think I blew the last driver because I was under-powering it - I guess I need to make sure I don't go too far in the other direction in terms of wattage as well, so thoughts there would be helpful). My bass is an ibanez btb four string (active bartolini's with two 9 volts) - I usually play scooped, but like getting other tones as well.
