Replacement PUP/ PRE for Ibby

Right now I have a Ibanez BTB556MP and it comes stock with Bartonlini Pickups and Pre, While I can live with my tone, I just don't feel that these pickups have the sounds I want. I'm kind of going for that late Dave Ellefson tone ( Megadeth)

I'm looking for a replacement Pups/ Pre for it, I'm pretty clueless to the tone of other companies beside EMG, Which I was thinking of getting the DC45's and no idea about pre's.

You might want read some reviews on DC's as there's been a number of guys latley (one more yesterday I think) who've had them with complaints of being on the bright/harsh side especially in the bridge position - I had DC40's and they can be that way.

Check the pickup dimensions. I've got a feeling the Barts are P2 or P4 sized and the EMGs don't fit.

Try some real American Barts in it. The barts that come with that bass are Bart MK1s which are not made by bart but are liscensed by them.
