Im looking for some helpful advice, experiences and suggestions from all you TB experts out there.
I currently have a G-K BLX 410 cab that I got for relatively cheap to use as a 2nd speaker cab at the shared practice space. When buying it I was told the G-K series cabs were good cheap alternative out there but I've had it for probably 2 mos and finding that I absolutely hate the thing.
The problems are that I get several 'dead' notes on strings lower than the A. This is made worse as we typically play in drop tuning in death metal style of band and I play a 5 string fretless with very low action.
I also have a Ampeg SVT 8x10 cab at my home practice space and love it (I get no dead notes ever and lots of bottom sound) but its too large to carry around back and forth to practice and home.
Im looking for a good half stack (one cab) alternative to the G-K. Price range is around $500 (max). My amp head is a 550 Watt@ 4 Ohm if that helps.
