Replacing a Tweeter in a GK Cab????

Has anyone replaced a tweeter in their GK cabinet?

I think the tweeter in my Neo112 is toast. It fizzles. If I turn it all the way down on the back, it goes away. Are these difficult? I'm guessing it's something I could do if I had the part . . . which brings up my next question. Where should I look to get a replacement tweeter?

There seems to be a number of places on line that sell them, but I have contacted GK.

Pretty sure its a P-Audio HT-406. Check the back of your driver to confirm.

Those P.Audio HT406 are quite fragile ! At least in the G.K cabs.... And a 'cheaper' way to fix it is to just change the Diaphragm, its a common model (1") fitting differents Brands (Fostex...etc) available on line. (~ $ 15.00)

I ordered a new tweeter and it couldn't have been easier to replace.

Changing the diaphragm is straight forward.
