Replacing Ashdown Blueline with Eminence

I have a MAG 115C 300w combo with the MAG 410t extension cab. I thought the 15" speaker sounded good until I got the 410t, then I realized that the 15" blueline driver (150 watts from what ive read at 8 ohms) really sounded kinda muddy and could not come close to producing the tone of the 410. After doing much research, I decided to replace the 15" blueline driver, so I just ordered the Eminence Legend 15 " 300w 8 ohm driver to replace it. NOW my question is...I have never replaced an original speaker for an upgrade so, will it be an easy unscrew and rescrew of the new driver? will the connectors be similar or will I have to do some engineering of my own? will the holes line up or will I have to drill new ones? Any answers you might provide will be appreciated.

It should be pretty standard, wiring wise, and probably the only thing you might have to do would be to drill some new holes. What's important is well (as I'm finding out now that I'm building my own cabinets, with help from TB) is that the driver is tuned for that particular box. Case in point I was about ready to use a Delta LFA to build a 15 box but after review I found it needed way more volume than the box I was going to put it in could provide so it could be tuned properly, so I decided to go with a Kappa Pro LF instead which only required a 3rd of the volume for a better overall response. I'd possibly do a quick and dirty calculation of the space available in that combo before pulling the trigger on it.

The Legend CB15 is a great replacement for the Blue Line in a MAG 115. I had a 115 Deep and did this replacement. According to the Eminence site, it is a good match for Deep cab, and it should work just fine in the combo as well (not sure of the dimensions compared to the Deep cab, but they can't be that far off). The replacement took all of ten minutes. You will love the Legend. It is much warmer than the Blue Line, not thin at all. It sounds "bigger" than the Blue Line. To me, the Blue Line barked, whereas the Legend thumps more like a 15 should (IMHO). I sold the cab to a friend and he absolutely loves it.
