replacing boogie 400+ w solid state, suggestions?

A lot of professional guys in dirty rock/metal bands I see using tube heads in the studio and then bringing a GK 800RB out on the road with them. Light, cheap, reliable and have a certain tone that I think is appealing to tube fans.

or you could just run vtbass or sansamp into a poweramp.
