Replacing neck on my Fender-Pbass

I'm replacing the neck on my Pbass from a mexican rosewood neck to a maple neck. My question is: Will the hardware (tuning keys etc.) be compatible or will I have to buy the hardware for the new neck? Any input would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

There are lots of variables...like what kind of neck (Fender, Warmoth, Mighty Mite, etc? Is the neck drilled?

I've been there.

This is a big can of worms. Take some measurements of your neck (inside diameter of holes with and without ferrules). These MIGHT help you if your supplier is willing to cooperate.

The best bet is to buy a neck with tuners.

Thanx again for the replies. The new maple neck was crafted in Japan and the machine heads from my mexican p-bass are not compatible. The inside diameter of the holes in the headstock are smaller than the holes in the mexican. There are pre-drilled holes. I'm just trying to get an idea on what type of tuning machines I need to buy.
