Replacing Sadowsky Bridge 20mm with 19mm alternative

I have a hunch that a bridge with 19mm string spacing would be preferable than the 20mm bridge that is currently on my 4 string Sadowsky. Sadowsky can provide me with a 19mm replacement, but it is little on the pricey side.
Does anyone on here know of a cheap 19mm bridge that would fit the Sadowsky bass in order to give 19mm spacing a try? If it works out, I will go with a Sadowsky replacement bridge

I can, trust me. Maybe not every one can, but I think most real players with experience can. You'd be surprised.
No doubt I'd be 100% accurate on that test.

:>)

seems like a small number, but its not when you get down to playing - fingers get in the way! Especially my FAT fingers!

Maybe it's just me, but I know I can tell.... And I know other pro players can as well...

YMMV.

You can use a HipShot bridge, probably the same mounting holes etc... but, why mess with perfection to just save a few $$$ - You've got a Sadowsky bass, thats pretty impressive, so keep it that way ! Get the bridge from Roger. My .02 cents.
As I said, If I was sure a 19mm bridge would work best for me, then I would be pulling the trigger on a Sadowsky bridge.
The Sadowsky bridge will cost well in excess of 200 euro when shipping and duty are taken into account (I live in Ireland)
That's why a cheaper alternative is initially preferable. If it works, I could move it on and order the Sadowsky. Here are some pics

I put a Babicz on my 24 fret 5 string NYC and haven't looked back. And like others have said, one millimeter difference is not an inconsequential thing. I have a pair of Deluxe Jazz basses, one of which was originally 18mm spacing. If I were only playing one bass all the time, it might not be such a big deal, but when you have several in rotation it's helpful to have some consistency of spacing, IMHO.

.if you just "have a hunch" this will be better, you should try to play a 19mm bridge before you drop 200 pounds on a new bridge....I think you should just play and get used to the bridge you have.....200 bills is a lot of coin for a 1mm difference
....look at a ruler, put your thumb on the 20, roll it onto the 19, negligible..IMHO
