Replacing speaker

Ok, I want to replace my blown speaker but here's the problem, the positive/negative terminals are a different size from the speaker I want to replace it with. The negative wire, iirc was connected to the smaller terminal and the new speaker only has terminals that are all the same size. Is there a way to change the terminal or do I need to exchange the speaker? Here are some pics.

just change the spade lug on the negative side of the cable. Dont try to fuss with the terminals on the driver.

Solder new connectors on to your wires.

Just solder the wire to the lug.

+1 either solder the wires directly to the lug, or crimp-on new ends on the wires themselves.

Ok, thanks for all the suggestions. i'm actually borrowing this amp from a friend. I'll have to make sure its ok to change the lugs
