I have an Ibanez sr300dx and am considering replacing the stock pick ups, possibly with some EMG's. I am looking for more bottom end and growl (am really happy with the feel of the instrument but not the tone), and was wondering if these pickups would help me achieve this? I am on a limited budget and would love to buy a new bass but if this change can make it sound like a new bass then this is a great alternative!! I appreciate this is probably no more than a quick fix but would appreciate any opinions.
