That’s a tuff one. As buyers we want to know as much as possible, sometimes extending the process out by several days as we think of additional questions. As sellers we want the item gone as quickly as possible. Bird in the hand and all that. I try to be sensitive to that but on one occasion I was looking to purchase a PBass from some guy who had several to sell. I asked him what the weight was of each one and he blew his top. Then he insulted me and so I decided I would never purchase anything from him in the future.
Sounds similar to my recent experience. He asked how I wanted it shipped (detuned, as-is, neck off, etc). I messaged him back and said you would know better than I would, so whatever you think is best. And I asked how it would be shipped (carrier, packaging, etc). Next thing I knew he left the conversation and it was marked sold. I had my money ready to go. I just wanted to go over a few details first. I ended up getting one in like new condition off of Reverb for about the same price.
