I recently bought wood for my first project and I need to resaw a walnut board for the top, since I've no experience in woodworking and I don't want to ruin my newly acquired and beautiful wood, do you guys have any tips? thanks! ^^

Do you have a bandsaw that is capable of doing the job? If not, find a cabinet shop in your area and pay them a little money to do it for you.

Make sure your saw is properly set up: blade tension, guide blocks, thrust bearings, tracking, and that the band is parallel to your reference face. Give your wood a straight flat edge for the table and scribe a very visible centerline on the top edge. A new, sharp blade will obviously be best. Run a test piece through first if you are at all worried.

There are a handful of different ways people do resaw: freehand to a scribed line, with a rip fence, or with a single-point fence are all popular with pluses and minuses. Look them all up and see which seems best for you. Walnut is not a difficult wood to resaw, relatively speaking, but as Hopkins said, if your saw is not tuned (or tunable) or very underpowered, you can always pay someone else to do it.
