Resize avatars?

Hello everyone, hope you're all OK

I'm having trouble with avatars - they are all too big! The one I have now is OK, as Paul very kindly resized it. I like to change them now and again, so is there any way I can resize them myself? Would I need Photoshop or something like that?

The only thing I have is Photoshop Album or something like that, it's very basic.

I use IrfanView, which does the job nicely. You can get it at Download.com.

I like your current avatar a lot, btw. Before you were a supporting member, I hoped that was what your name was from.
