Restore phosphor bronze string color?

My fairly new set of Thomastik Acousticores are already discoloring... I don't usually turn PB strings dark so I guess they are just oxidising, is there any way of restoring their appearance? They sound fine btw.

That's annoying. Those are fantastic, and expensive strings. They have the nylon core so cleaning might be problematic.

Yes I for sure don't want to damage them... I live by the coast so higher humidity which could be the cause.

I edited my post after you quoted. I'm not sure about the silk wrap. But it's still probably not as straight forward as cleaning normal strings.
