Returning Bassist

Hi Everyone,

Really excited to get back into the bass world, I played a while back and I cant wait to start ripping again. Im picking up a new axe soon and would love to share my choices! They're all short scales because I want one lol. Probably going to trade in my old Squier J Bass and try to get a good deal at GC (tired of it, want a short scale).

Looking forward to becoming a contributing member and putting together some cool bass riffs!

The Axes of debate:

Gretsch G2202 - Can get a good deal on a used one ($150), but needs a set up and has a few dings.

Ibanez TMB30 - Really leaning towards this one, $180 brand new with nice pick ups and cool styling. Coral Red looks awesome, and I may be able to get it cheaper with the Guitar Center trade in. (10% off, plus whatever they give me for the J Bass)

Squier Jaguar SS - Was originally going to pick this one up, but I feel like the Ibanez packs more of a punch for less, and I've already played a Squier for some time a few years back. (Same Guitar Center deal as above)

Hey thanks for the suggestion; I ended up with an Ibanez TMB30 in coral red and with the trade in, snagged it for a measly $64!

I feel like I got a really good deal considering I traded in a 10 year old Squier J Bass.
