Double Bass Rev Solo II question

Anyone else with experience with the Rev Solo II feel the G string is a little, different? I'm really not sure how to describe the difference, maybe a little twangier than the others, I don't know. There is a definite difference between it and the other strings, but I'm not sure if it's the pickup jack mounted with the G string on the tailpiece, or if the string is wearing out faster than the others. Anyone else had this happen?
For what it's worth, I'm using Obligatos.

I never experienced this on any bass that I've used the Rev Solo. I guess it's part of YMMV.

Okay, so maybe it's the string itself that's the issue.

I have the rev solo 1 and this happens to me too. the low strings outpower the G.. substantially

I tend to run my wing pickups (depending on the pickup, bridge, bass, etc) - on the G side.

Using them on the G side can even out the string response on some basses.
