IMO, its even better than Myspace, because it allows you to control your MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites from a single portal (not to mention one thats not blocked by my works proxy settings).

Our singer just set ours up. Seems like a great tool that integrates the other social medias. Pretty easy to navigate and find things you are looking for. Don't know to much about Reverbnation, having said that I'm on the fence with the chart system. Kind of looks bad when your number 329 in your region. Not knowing the the formula, I would not want to have that big number glaring at my potential fans.

You can have that number not dislayed if you change your settings. Also, the more activity you bring to your site, the higher your numbers will climb (all of them). I recommend putting widgets and such around to bring your page more traffic. Like, everytime I have a gig, I'll post about it on CL, and include a widget that people can use to sign up for our mailing list. Everytime, without fail, we add at least 1 or 2 fans.

Normally I would share in the love here. I'm all for selfless promotion.

But, my current band is having issues with reverbnation right now. The main one being, our songs are all too long to upload without shelling out $ to do so...

WELL AREN'T YOU LUCKY!?!?!?!? For a while, all the sports sites were blocked. THAT was the last straw! They are un-blocked now.

More on track, until I post a link, you can search for the band "Chaostrophe". However, it is a death metal band, so be warned.

Great idea! Here's ours: Beyond the Cage | Toronto, ON, CA | Rock | Music, Lyrics, Songs, and Videos | ReverbNation We're 93 on the rock charts in our area and we haven't played live as a band yet, either.

BTW, I'm having problems with my Firefox browser. It won't play any tunes on RN for some reason, even though it was recently updated. Anyone else run into this problem?

Looking forward to hearing everyone's tunes as soon as I resolve this issue.
