..., but other problems remain, so I haven't given up on it yet.
I think the envelope style/cutting out effect was coming from me hitting the strings too lightly and lowering my input volume too much. I turned my input volume all the way up, turned my amp down to 2, and put all the knobs on the B:Assmaster to 12 o'clock. No more cutting out.
But I'm still getting very little fuzz effect. It sounds much more like a super-overdrive. I'm not hearing any harmonics or snyth-like sounds either, just raw power.
I guess I was expecting to hear the sounds from the Malekko website, and the sounds from this thread from our resident Fuzz Expert: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=524392&highlight=assmaster
I was expecting the B:Assmaster to be a kind of "super" BBM. But that's not what I'm hearing.
To all those that own both the B:Assmaster and the BBM, would you say the sounds should be very close to one another, kind of close, or not close at all.
Thanks all for your help, hope I'm not beating a dead horse here.
