Saw Th Tubes Sunday in Pittsburgh and Rick Was playing this Hohner HRB5. Very nice sound through an SVT, and he is one solid bassist! Always liked his playing but this is the first time I've seen him in small venue, and he plays a bit more in the five-piece lineup than he did when the production was heavier with two keyboardists, two guitars and all the staging. If they hit your town, go see 'em!

I've seen The Tubes three times -- this was the first time in a small venue and Prairie is even more awesome up close. They did a meet & greet after. Rick said his mother tried to discourage him from playing bass. "who's gonna hire a 65-year old bass player?"

PP is in my top five favorite drummers.

Rick and PP are a very potent rhythm section. Seen them many times and seen PP with Todd Rundgren even more.
