Hello

I have a 1979 Rickenbacker 3001 fretless and am looking for more information on it. I am wondering if anyone knows how many were produced and what it's value now would be.

I got it in the early 80's but never really played it, for most of it's life it has been sleeping in its case so its still in like new condition.

Here is a link to a few pictures:

I would be very thankful for any help.

Wow! Never seen a fretless 3000/3001. That thing probably sounds great! I think I have it's fretted sister:

Going rates for good condition fretted 3001's are in the $800-$1100 range, but slowly creeping up.

Nice bass man.

Very nice pictures, I like the wood on yours. Thanks for sharing.

I'll be taking more pictures soon and will post them. I'm not real good at fretless , lol!! Probably because I don't practice with it. I do like Michael Manring, but watching him just makes me never want to touch a fretless since he's like the god of fretless.

I would like to get a fretless acoustic but w/ fret lines.
