Rickenbacker 4-string set gauges?

I'm resurrecting this thread again. I'm wanting strings that can replace my factory Rickenbacker strings, with the same gauges, but hoping they last longer with retaining zing: my factory ones went dead pretty quickly. Out of the options here, what would fit that description?
Why are the same gauges as the stock strings necessary? I have used a variety of different string gauges, all worked, felt, and sounded great.

Because I don’t want to have to file the nut like others have.
I have tried standard string gauges and did not find that I needed to file the nut. However, if you want to stay with the same gauges, SIT strings allow you to buy individual strings to make a set, and it's about the same price as a prepackaged set. I'd recommend the Power Wound strings.

If you want something really long lasting, D'Addario XT strings are good for that, but you won't be able to get them in the same gauges. I don't think you'll notice much of a difference though.

Oh really? Good to know. I do feel like it’s been pretty mixed based on this thread and others I have now read: it looks like some folks like yourself have not had to adjust the nut at all, and some have, and there doesn’t seem to be any correlation on year or model.

What year and model is yours? Mine is a 2025 4003S.
