Rickenbacker 4003 color problem!

thanks everyone for the help i think im goin with the fireglo. to me its just a little more to look at on the stand. id still like to see some more of your guys rics though for color comparisons.

again, if you are going to buy a FG, that is a great choice, but I'd get one at a shop so you can see for yourself if its too pink or orange or whatever. I have seen a lot of variation from bass to bass. Then again, if you like em all, pull the trigger and have fun.
man i i wish i had a shop i can pick one out myself with but theres pretty much no place around with one in stock...let alone even a dealer with ric, to tell you the truth ive never even seen one in real life or played one, im just so in love with them though i dont even care if the thing plays like a tissue box i just want one so bad!!!!! like i said i sold my Thunder bird for this thing and i lost a pretty significant amount of money from selling it.
so i just really hope it works out. right now i got a geddy lee jazz to tide me over though....but im planning on ordering it this weekend from musicians friend.Fireglow is one of my all time favorite guitar/bass finishes... when done well.
I had a very nice example on a 330 guitar, and would LOVE a Fireglow 4001/4003, but I would NEVER buy one that I couldn't see first, due to the variations in this finish.
A good friend and former band mate worked for Ric for a number of years, and I questioned him on this very subject one day.
He basicly said it was just a matter of who was shooting on a particular day, and that there really was a big difference from one person to the next. Apparently some are better at it than others.

I got mine from MF last year (Jetglo). I ended up with a great one but make sure you look it over real well when you get it because I had to return it twice before getting a good one. (The first had a cracked inlay in the neck and the second had a defective pickup. The third was perfect, thankfully.)
