I almost bought a 4001JG lefty a few years back but I couldn't get the Geddy Lee connection out of my head.

thanks everyone for the help i think im goin with the fireglo. to me its just a little more to look at on the stand. id still like to see some more of your guys rics though for color comparisons.![]()
I just got a new Fireglow 4003 about a month ago. My seems more red than the usual 4003, but I get compliments on that.
again, if you are going to buy a FG, that is a great choice, but I'd get one at a shop so you can see for yourself if its too pink or orange or whatever. I have seen a lot of variation from bass to bass. Then again, if you like em all, pull the trigger and have fun.
man i i wish i had a shop i can pick one out myself with but theres pretty much no place around with one in stock...let alone even a dealer with ric, to tell you the truth ive never even seen one in real life or played one, im just so in love with them though i dont even care if the thing plays like a tissue box i just want one so bad!!!!! like i said i sold my Thunder bird for this thing and i lost a pretty significant amount of money from selling it.so i just really hope it works out. right now i got a geddy lee jazz to tide me over though....but im planning on ordering it this weekend from musicians friend.
