rickenbacker 4004

    anyone own one/played one?

    i like the look of em but sadly haven't found any anywhere to play...

    anybody have pics other than those on the rick website?

    Periodically someone asks, and receives little information. These things are evidently few and far between. Did you do a search to see previous inquiries? You will find a few comments by people who have played them.

  5. I have owned three 4001 Ricks and they can't come close to the sound of my 61' 4000.

    That 4000 is pretty rare. Between the single pickup, in an unusual-for-Rickenbacker position, and the different bridge, I would expect it to sound different. How would you describe the difference in tone as compared to a 4001?

  11. Dave my "61 has been appraised at much higher then $6000, Thats a good price considering there are only three of these that exist!Chris Squire has the other one!

    I'm gonna look into purchasing this one, thanks for letting me know about it.
