rickenbacker 4004

That 4000 is pretty rare. Between the single pickup, in an unusual-for-Rickenbacker position, and the different bridge, I would expect it to sound different. How would you describe the difference in tone as compared to a 4001?

HEY!!! Treena, get them Fenders outta our 4004 thread! :D

Are you aware that Guitar Broker has a '61 4000 for sale? They're asking $6000 and it doesn't look as nice as yours.

If you feel uncomfortable now that you realize how much yours may be worth, you can always send it to me for safekeeping. :D

Dave my "61 has been appraised at much higher then $6000, Thats a good price considering there are only three of these that exist!Chris Squire has the other one!
