Dude sounds good. Azimuth was pretty tough back in the day.
Groovy. I've got one of those weird drums, but never could make it sing like that.
I have a few Azymuth CDs from back in the last century. 
Looking at dude‘s facial expression, I think it‘s a matter of applying the correct technique
IIRC, the correct cuíca technique entails the use of a wet rag.
(I'm serious, or at least I'm earnestly reporting what I remember.)
Yeah, and/or some sort of wax on the fingers, I read that, too.
Love the cuica, the Brazilian friction drum at 0:04. What a great instrument. Always reminds me of a monkey calling through the treetops
