IMO Jetglo and Fireglo should have a white guard and binding. Natural be OK but you said trans finishes may be out. That is why I really think white is the correct answer. It will also make it more of a restoration.

I would suggest not using a color that Ric uses more recently or in the last 20 years. Try using a cool Invalid Link Removed (Fiesta red, lake placid blue, ect). I put my vote for the psychedelic finish (Jack Bruce or Macca esq) Very nice catch man

That looks awesome! Actually I think Ric did a color sort of like that on one of their guitar models. I always liked the Tourquoise and the Desert Gold colors Ric used too.
I'm planning on having the refin done (if he has time) by Dale Fortune out in Oregon.

I thought he disappeared. He does great work... actually if you're using him I'd do a trans brown/tobacco burst, I've seen him do great "AutumnGlo" type finishes like on a refinned 4002. Also, black binding + tobaccoburst-ish finish is common among older Rics.
why don't you step it up and be the first with a silverburst rick!!?! and please for the love of god if you for some reason listen to me over all these people, do NOT put a white pg on it... SB looks boss with black.
Originally I was going to say Azureglo, but since you already have the black PG.... White makes more sense. Maybe even a faded white.
