Hello

I found today in a local shop, a no-name rickenbackerish style bass. I haven't played it because there were about to close. The salesman informed me that a guy working for this shop had built it and he installed expensive electronics etc and they sell it for 600 euros. He told me that both pickups are Seymur Duncan but not exactly the model (i guess those cost around 250euros?)

So next week i will go again to play it (and take a pic to post here).

But my question is how to check the quality of the electronics and the build in such a procedure (of course after checking that the sound is satisfactory).

Is there a way to check those things in a shop test-play? or at least estimate if the price is decent?

(also i have never played a real ric, since there is no dist in my country)

If the pickups are real Duncans, they should have stickers on the bottom. That might be hard to look at in a shop, however.
