British session giant Derrick McIntyre has died. Has played on loads of pop and funk/r&b records; for me he became a legend with the few tracks he's done on Jamiroquai's "Dynamite" album: "Seven Days in Sunny June", "Starchild", "Time Won't Wait", "Don't Give Hate a Chance" - some of the most fun to play and listen to basslines ever.
