Wow. Shocking and sad. Never to be replaced. A guy who took music seriously, but seemed not to take himself too seriously. RIP.

In another forum I learned that he had a recent hip injury, but no clue as to whether that was a factor.

Like many others here I'm very saddened to hear this. Dusty was a big influence on bass.
Always loved his choice of instruments and the "fart in a 50 gallon drum" tone!

Just saw the sad news. He was a legend for sure. My father in-law recently passed at 72. Seems too young.
