RIP, George Carlin

I don't post often, but I had to post for this.

Like all the greats, he was funny as hell, with a dead-on social commentary that accompanied his jokes.

He showed us how messed up we were.

"dumber than a second coat of paint". For some reason, that quote of his is stuck in my head.

He will be deeply missed.

His act really changed in the last 15 years (approx) to almost a philosophy aspect.

I was fortunate enough to meet the man before and asked him about that He said He really never thought about that in that perspective, but He said made sense.

He also mentioned that it was just natural for him to write that way and that what was He was thinking about at the time.

On a personal level there are 2 artist that I could always listen to no matter what my mood and I will always enjoy them. They always picks me up a little, one is early Rush the other George Carlin (anything He is done).

In plain English.

This just Sucks.

I've never heard about him before this thread, but after reading that quote, I've better start checking him out.... Too bad he's gone. :(
