Double Bass RIP Murray Wall

Not sure if anyone outside the NYC area knew or knew of Murray, but he was a wonderfully swinging and melodic bassist with a big, old school sound. The last time I heard him was with a quartet led by Ted Brown at Kitano. Both pianist Mike Kanan and bassist Neal Miner have posted some lovely remembrances on Facebook …
