Chuck Sher publishes my book, WALKING BASSICS:The Fundamentals of Jazz Bass Playing.
I was fortunate enough to meet him through the aegis of my friend Jed Levy, who had a 40 year friendship with Peter. A wonderfully creative jazz guitarist who managed to survive a brain tumor through an aggressive experimental treatment that put and end to his career as a performer. He didn’t stop being creative, he was a prolific and talented photographer and in the last few years put together a large ensemble that played his arrangements of his own compositions, The New Life Orchestra.

Thank you Ed!
I do remember Sunday nights, I think Sean Smith was leading the band playing Peter's compositions at Club 75 (perhaps, but not sure of venue??) in Tribeca. It was an awesome band with lovely compostions. RIP

EDIT : around the year 2015 or 2016

Club 75 was where I heard this group, but much later in 2019 and not with Sean (a wonderful player). It was mostly Yoshi Waki on bass, with Dennis James playing "stunt" bass - arco lines in unison or harmony with either the bari or the bones...
