Hi all. I'm looking to change out the stock bridge in my bass and was wondering if you can help me out. Please check out the link and tell me what you think. I was looking to get a Hipshot but once I saw these my options changed. Please give your feedback or opinions. Thanks.

I have the Elite one in my 5'er. Of course, I bought it used, so a couple pieces were missing (like the spring on the B intonation screw) and the height adjustment screws are in desperate need of oiling. I'm not sure how old my bass is, so I can only guess as to the quality of those bridges are new.

Is it a good bridge? I'm kind of worried of the word aftermarket.

Again, it's difficult for me to say since I got it used. The missing spring and the stuck height screws may be due to the quality of the bridge or it could be due to wear and tear. Those thing aside, it's functions well enough and is built rock solid. It has a lot of mass, the intonation is stable and I've bumped it into more than enough hard objects without having any settings changed or any parts broken.

I'd say it's a good value for the money. In fact, it was only a couple days ago that I finally found out what brand the bridge was, and I was really surprised at how cheap it goes for. I had always assumed it was a lot more expensive.

The question is - what's wrong with the bridge you are using, and what kind of instrument is it on? Until we know that, suggestions make little sense.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm wondering the exact same thing: I recently reactivated my MIM Fender P/J bass, and completely fell in love with it for the first time in about 10 years...so much so that I'm actually gonna bench my Stingray for now.

And since this bass seems to have some magic, I'm interested in upgrading the bridge--the saddles aren't in the best shape. I've read some good stuff in TB about the Gotoh 201. But I'm also a low action guy, so does the Gotoh allow for that? I've read the Badass bridges kinda force you into high action.
