Thanks for the info. That is amazingly light weight!

I've looked on YouTube and can't find any video featuring a Rob Allen Mouse Fretted, only videos of the fretless version. Does anyone know of any videos that feature the fretted? I'd love to hear some sound clips. I'm particularly interested in what that C strings sounds like. Thanks

There is nothing like a Rob Allen.
Is it BEADG or EADGC ?

If anyone is seriously interested in the bass, I'd be happy to make a phone recording (low tech) of the actual bass (my skills are average at best, however) and PM or message the video to you via phone.

Way out of my price range so just curious, how does intonation and string height work with a bridge like that? Beautiful bass and so light, good luck selling. Or should I wish you the opposite so you can keep it!

The string height is pretty much set at "perfect," or slightly higher than what you would be used to on a high-end, low-action, solid body; however, after playing it for about five minutes, you realize it's the perfect height for the instrument (no buzz, tons of thump).

What SHOCKED me was the *almost* (apparently, only fanned frets get perfect intonation) perfect intonation ALL the way up the neck. It's a premium price for a reason ;-) I tried learning chording and the 3rds, 6ths, 13ths etc...all ring out beautifully with no wobble. If I had to guess, I would say a lot of it has to do with Rob's decades of work on this one specific model (including hand-made bridge and super-tiny frets), but I don't want to give away any of his secrets.

You're making me want to keep it...

That’s the nicest one of those I’ve seen in quite some time! I’d say GLWTS but I think you’re crazy to let it go!
