"Robots" logged in to TalkBass?

So, on your home screen you will note the list of people who are currently logged in. At the bottom of said list it says this currently.

"Total: 1,571 (members: 539, guests: 1,016, robots: 16)"

What does that mean?

I tried to think of something witty to say, but alas... robots are just the automated Google/Bing bots that crawl and index the site.
