Rockbass help?

Ive heard that the newer Rockbasses are supposedly better than the early 2000s models. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if so what years are better?

I was playing an RB Corvette $$ thats on clearence at Guitar Center today and I think with a good set up and probably a new pre-amp this thing has some serious potential.

Feedback or suggestions greatly appreciated.

One easy way to see if it is the newer ones is to look at the headstock logo and the bridge. The newer ones have a W logo and Rockbass on the truss rod cover (i think), and have the two-piece bridge that is the same or similar to the German Warwicks.

This one has the 2 piece bridge, the W on the head and rockbass on the truss cover I was looking it over and plays nice. Naturally it gave me GAS but Im trying to save for an g&l/tribute L2K so I might just want to avoid it all together away from this :hiding:
