Rockbass Premium version

Hi everyone, not a bassist but I have just purchased a 2nd hand rockbass corvette premium for my son as a birthday present.

It duly arrived but I was expecting it to say premium on it somewhere to tell it apart form the std version. Is there any obvious way to tell the difference between the standard and premium version?

Your advice would be much appreciated. The serial number is
RB SN F-044879 S-07

Please bear in mind i know NOTHING about guitars so telling me the difference will be pickup type A and pickup type B, will not help me one jot.

Happy to post pics if that will help. Just don't want to hand it over to my son if I've paid way over the top for a standard corvette. I've no reason to suspect the seller has mislead me when he described it as premium, I would just be happier if someone could put my mind at rest on this.

Many thanks

Thanks

Sadly there website is having real problems and my virus program keeps on throwing up threats. Clicking on the product links does nothing. I'm not sure me lookig at a technical speck will do me any good.

I was hoping someone on here actually new the models, maybe even had one and could tell me an easy way to identify which was which.

I would think the easiest way to tell them apart is the fact that the Premium has a flame maple top on the body.

Hi, perhaps I should explain, when I said I know NOTHING about guitars I really did mean it. The sum of my knowledge is that guitars have a body a neck and some strings attached to twidly bits at the top to tighten the strings.

So when you say a flame maple top on the body, that means very little to me. If it helps here are some pics. So can anyone tell me is this the premium or the standard.

Yes he is a lefty, he's been playing for a year with a £100 amp & guitar set up and wanted an upgrade for his 18th.

Thanks Arsie for, now I can wrap it up with a clear conscience. I'll also put him onto this forum and suggest he signs up.
