I got to hear Dr. Whittaker, Director of Jazz @ Michigan State University, a few nights ago in Petoskey MI. He headed up a quartet of URB, piano, saxaphone and drums. Dr. Whittaker's daughter sang several songs with the group.
This dude can play the bass, period. It was one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time. I loved it!
