Roland cube 60?

Is anyone else using one?

I've had mine for 32 years, used it for electric and acoustic bass for everything from living rooms to community halls and large bars. With DIs and good PAs these days the Roland does fine as a stage monitor and the PA does the rest.

I don' t think I've had my Ampeg V4B in a venue for 30 years.

I'll bet the newer solid state "One Box" amps like the Fender Rumble and Traynor "Bloc" amps get more sound out of one cab than my Roland though.

Those Cubes are nice. If you want small and volume, get a Genzler MG350 Combo. More expensive than a Rumble, but I’ve played musicals in a 650 seat theatre with just the amp, no FOH support. It’s amazing.

I had a keyboard cube 100 for a while. I got it for next to nothing and it was extremely beat up, but it was kind of a neat little practice amp if nothing else. Just a nice basic sound for bass. Not exactly flat, but musical, which was the aesthetic back then, which I kind of miss from a lot of stuff these days. Anyway, I spent a bunch of time cleaning it up, but it was a little rougher than I was hoping so I sold it after a while for a few bucks more than I paid for it (basically paid me minimum wage for my labor). I wouldnt mind having one or a bass cube in nicer shape, but I have no actual use for one with my current gear. I just like a lot of the cool old 70s-90s stuff that's been forgotten to time but was fairly commonplace back then.

I've got an older silver cube 60 keyboard amps. Still have the cover for it. It's been thru hell and back. The original speaker is long gone and I'm not sure what's in it. I've used it for keyboards, guitar as well as a practice bass amp. I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon.

There was a guy who played bass with a local big band that had one of those...the 60-watt, I think. Every time I gigged with them, I was impressed with the performance of that little amp. Yes, there are some better and more modern amps, but I've always thought those were right in the sweet spot of performance vs. size, especially when cost is factored in.

Guess I got unlucky with my 20XL cube, only used as practice amp with a U-bass, never moved anywhere and hardly ever unplugged. Busted input jack after only 2 years. Replacement part only available from one source (worldwide), after import duties taxes and shipping etc will be $40 part only. And nobody wants to work on it in my part of the world :(
