Hey all wanted to start a thread for any others to share there D-bass experiences, I have had many different combos over the years from peavey.I had a Hartke 5500 amp head with a 215xl cab. but my DB700 has big sound for a small package.
My only issue was a loose plug on a curcuit board caused it to act like I was playing an active bass with a dead battery. I just ordered another D-bass 115 I am going to gig with two for a combined around 600 watt punch. anyone else use these amps?:bassist:

I just got one - the 2x10 version. I Love it. VEry portable, sounds great, and loud enough for larger gigs.

Did I mention the weight?

I used to have an Eden metro - although I think the Metro sounds a little better, there is just no comparison that I would rather have the Roland ..

Loving it!!

I have the 210 and the 115 extension cab, and it's more then enough power for practice or medium sized gigs. The sound is transparent and clear no matter what setting you're using. Your bass' tone will come through with minor variations in sound no matter what settings you have (exception being the compression) and that's what I love about the Roland. I can use it to determine exactly what a bass sounds like.

The quality and sound are both 10/10. I only have one issue - the tweeter will "fuzz" out at medium to high volumes and it sounds like garbage. Solution is turn the tweeter off, which I do, and there's no problems. I don't know if it's a design flaw or if mine is just broken.

My favorite part is the compression and the EQ. The comp is very very very good, and the EQ with sweepable mids is perfect, just the right frequencies.

I am glad to see some positive feedback on them. I came across mine on ebay for $350 bucks(DB700) then found out they revamped it calling it D-bass 115. I was told I was gonna have alot of problems and such. around where I live there are no roland dealers that carry the bass amps just keyboard and guitar amps. So you have to commit (buy online) without trying them out and new they are up there in price. might have to give the 210 a try down the road.

FedEx just brought me a used 210/115x setup. I haven't played through it yet, but I got a good deal, and I've heard way more good reviews than bad. Both cabs are super light for their size. Looking forward to giving them a spin tonight. Previously I was using a 100w combo or a 800w head/cab setup, and this is my attempt to consolidate by getting portability and power out of one rig instead of two.

Here's a little review now that I've played through them. For starters, I can't imagine ever needing a more powerful amp. With volume on full and gain almost all the way off, I was shaking the walls.

The flexibility is awesome. With the three amp model settings, compression, eq, and adjustable tweeter, I easily ran the gamut from sizzle to old school P-bass thump with just a little knob twiddling.

The extension cab can be run as another full-range cab or a subwoofer only, with an adjustable crossover.

So far, I am really glad I bought this amp. Hoping to get it to a session ASAP and see how it sounds vs. loud drummer and two guitars.

Oh, and portable? You could easily carry one of these cabs in each hand. They are bulky, but super light. Thanks, neodymium!

I agree with previous comments it's a great amp, I use it with a Fender Precision and it has plenty of poke particularly as it's DI'd to the desk.
I'm on the lookout for the DBass115x extension cab to get that 2x15 sound on stage,if anyone knows of one for sale please let me know

VERY happy to have found this thread!

This thing is my wife - sounds great with my jazz and wick alike and it's versatility is staggering! I also got mine for £400 GBP and discovered it doubled in price for a while until they disconned it: so I gotta steal but it's a shame they stopped producing them as many people don't get the chance to own one of these very economical amps.

Does anyone have any insight into why Roland axed 'em?
